S7 (HIP)

S7 is a shock-resistant tool steel with good impact resistance. Notable for its strength, toughness and wear resistance, it finds application in forming tools and mold components.  OptiMIM’s S7, in the HIP and heat treated condition, has higher density, tensile strength and yield strength than wrought S7.
