MIM-17-4 PH (as sintered)
MIM 17-4 PH (precipitation hardening grade) of stainless steel offers a good balance between corrosion resistance and strength. It is magnetic and hardenable to various strength levels by varying the aging heat-treating temperature.
It generally has better corrosion resistance than the 400 series stainless steels because of the low carbon content. A range of properties and hardness is achieved by modifying the aging temperature during heat treatment. It is often used for aircraft, dental, marine, medical, and surgical industries.
